Skellefteå emerged victorious from the summit meeting with Växjö in the SHL.
Måns Forsfjäll opened the scoring in the second period – the defender’s first goal of the season.
But the question is who was happier about the goal, Forsfjäll or his grandfather in the stands?

The SHL was back after a short Christmas break, and Boxing Day offered a summit meeting and series finale between Skellefteå and Växjö. Västerbottningar won the duel after scoring three goals in the third and final period, and thus won 3–0 on home ice.

First goal

20-year-olds Måns Forsfjäll scored the game’s first goal at the start of the third period, which also meant the defender’s first goal of the 2022/2023 season.
– I have longed for that, it was a while ago. Even the brother has managed to score in the SHL, he told C More after the game.
