A 13-year-old teenager from England stepped on an electronic cigarette while out with friends. The young man, who had an electronic cigarette stuck in his foot, went to the doctor after the terrible injury. The doctors said that his foot could be amputated.
HE JUST WANTED TO HAVE FUN
13-year-old Harley Bennett wanted to step on an electronic cigarette she found outside to have fun with her friends. Thereupon, she lifted the e-cigarette vertically to the ground and tried to smash it like a “coke can”.

His mother, Samantha Robinson, came to the scene and took her son to the hospital. X-rays revealed that the electronic cigarette pen had entered the heel bone. “The size and width of the puff bar went through most of the way and got stuck at the top of the heel bone, breaking it,” the traumatized mother said.
BENNETT FEELS NOTHING
“It was really shocking. I felt sick, I was scared. I didn’t know what was going on,” he cried. It seems that the hospital staff “had never been in contact with anything like this before,” he added. “It must have been very shocking for them too.” I had all the nurses because they were so surprised.”
His son, however, was somewhat more discreet about this ordeal. “Harley was actually pretty calm, probably because the adrenaline kicked in and she wasn’t feeling anything,” Robinson recalls.

Kennedy reported that the boy then underwent a two-hour surgery and a failed skin transplant, and was subsequently discharged six hours later. But Bennett couldn’t help it: At a follow-up appointment two weeks later, the surgeon said it was highly likely that the teen’s foot would need to be amputated due to an infection in his broken heel bone.
“I felt scared and sick. For Harley, I was more frightened by her reaction and how she was.” Bennett also said that being told she might lose her foot was “very, very stressful”, and she went through an equally “stressful” nine-week recovery period. he had to clean and change his bandages every day and take him to the hospital every few days so the doctors could examine his vape wound.
