The ski season has started in full swing, and tests show that a lot of drugs are circulating in the mountain destinations. According to measurements that the county administrative board in Jämtland County has made over the past year show high levels of narcotics in the waste water – and the increase can be linked to the tourist season. In the ski resort of Vemdalen, people are concerned about the drug situation. – When we have these huge weeks of tourists, they bring their drug use with them even to us and the mountain world, that’s the way it is, says Agneta Roberts, public health coordinator Härjedalen municipality.
