A woman has died after a shooting that occurred on Saturday evening at a pub near Liverpool, TT writes.

The police were alerted shortly before midnight local time. Several people are said to have been injured. Among other things, a woman who was taken together with three men to hospital, where she later died.

– The investigation is at a very early stage and we understand that this is a truly shocking and devastating event that has happened just before Christmas Day, says Detective Inspector Dave McCaughrean.
