SMHI warns of sudden icy conditions on some of the country’s roads during Christmas Day.
– It is not certain that it will be visible when it freezes, says Lars Knutsson, meteorologist at SMHI.
The yellow warnings for icy conditions apply during the afternoon and evening of Christmas Day in western and northern Götaland and southwestern Svealand.
The road surfaces will be just below zero, which means that the roads may freeze, explains Knutsson. – If you are out driving in those areas and it starts to rain, you probably have to watch out.
