Maxi Jazz sang in the British electronic band from its inception in 1995. The band had several hit songs, including the almost nine-minute song “Insomnia” which was sampled by Avicii, and the somewhat rapier “God is a DJ”.
In 2015 he formed the group Maxi Jazz & The E-Type Boys.
Fraser died on Friday, December 23. He was 65 years old.
Former band colleague Sister Bliss writes on Twitter that Fraser died in his sleep at his home in south London. The cause of death has not been determined.
