Honor has been nicely targeting the entry-level smartphone market for several years now. With a number of healthy upgrades released each year, it’s no surprise that the brand has a loyal following among affordable smartphone seekers.
honorpowered by Snapdragon 680 in March X7and it looks like Honor will soon include an “a” version in the series, with specs and images leaking to the internet.
Honor X7aLike the X7, using an HD+ display, the phone is slightly smaller (6.7″ – 6.74″ for comparison) and has a lower screen refresh rate (60Hz – 90Hz) than the regular version. The display has a notch for the 8MP selfie camera, but we don’t know yet if it will have the same specs as the X7’s front camera.
On the back, the Honor X7a has a quad camera setup consisting of 50MP main, 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and 2MP telephoto lenses. The smartphone is powered by the Helio G37 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It comes with Android 12 version out of the box and uses a 5,230 mAh battery which is bigger than the X7. However, we do not know if the charge rate is the same or different as in the X7 (22.5 W).
The source of the leak says that the Honor X7a, which is expected to be more affordable than the X7, weighs 196 grams and has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and will be available in two colors, Midnight Black and Ocean Blue.
