Westhill Children’s Chapel can be admired from a distance on the Kerkweg in Maarssen. The monument on Parkweg is somewhat tucked away and can only be reached if you take the exit between numbers 50 and 44 and walk a bit. The building has been empty for fifteen years and is in disrepair, but a company hopes to breathe new life into it by converting it into a daycare center. The municipality thinks it’s a good idea and granted a permit, but local residents don’t see it. The case therefore went to court on Friday.
