It turned out that the real corpse image was used to create the characters in Garry’s Mod, one of the popular mods of Half-Life 2.
Half-Life 2 fans made a very interesting discovery about one of their models, 18 years after its release. Also popular in Garry’s Mod, Corpse01.mdl was created by copying the image of a corpse found in a real medical book. The only difference is that Half-Life 2’s model is missing both eyes, other than that it looks exactly the same.

It first emerged when a photo shared on Reddit was identified by a player. Although the image is from the mod’s early development stages, it was also used when it was released.

The idea of encountering the image of a real corpse in a production we have been playing for years will disturb many people. It would be a lie if we said that he didn’t do us either. A designer commissioned by NetherRealms during the development of MK11 was diagnosed with PTSD (Post Tram Stress Disorder) after his investigations.
It is not known whether the producers will remove this image after such a scandal has emerged, but we hope they will not replace one of the most famous characters of the mod with another corpse image.
