There is a fire in an industrial building in Djurängen in Kalmar. According to initial information, there is a fire in a washing machine and a dryer inside the building, the police report.
It is unknown if anyone is injured.

Over ten of Sweden’s most populous municipalities speak up Echo that more Swedes contact the municipalities’ budget and debt advisers.

Man dead after collision with SL bus
A man has died after a collision between a car and an SL bus on Wednesday.

Exactly how the accident happened is currently unclear.
The incident is being investigated as gross negligence in traffic, but there are no suspects at this time. Both the bus and the passenger car have been recovered for technical examination.

Shooting near Brunnbybadet
Several shots were fired at a building in Knivsta during the night towards Friday, the police report.

Fire on ferry to Staten Island in New York

The bailiff warns of SMS scams
The enforcement officer warns that fraudsters who pretend to be eavesdropping on the customs authority send text messages urging them to pay or dispute a payment order.
“If you receive a text message or if someone calls you and asks you to pay or dispute a claim, or give out your bank ID, it is not from the Norwegian Kronofogden,” the authority writes on its website.
If someone wants to be paid and applies for a payment order, the Kronofogden sends a letter, either via a digital mailbox or by post.

A man in a wheelchair was robbed at 6pm on Thursday outside Mellerud.
– He has lost belongings and had to receive kicks. There must be a person designated as the perpetrator, says Johan Josarp, officer on duty at the police.
According to information to Aftonbladet, a woman could be identified as a suspect. The police searched for her during the evening, but there are no reports of any arrests.
Knife cuts in the face during a robbery
A man was stabbed in the face in Kode, outside Kungälv, shortly after 9pm on Thursday evening.
– He was stabbed in connection with a robbery and has lost his belongings, says Johan Josarp, officer on duty at the police.
The man was taken to hospital. The extent of the damage is unclear. No one is arrested.
New delivery of Patriot to Sweden
Sweden buys more copies of the advanced American anti-aircraft weapon Patriot, reports SVT.
In the past, four so-called fire units have been ordered and now the Defense Materiel Administration, FMV, has placed a new order for even more.
– They will be delivered in batches over the next few years, says Christer Mellgren, project manager at FMV, to SVT.
The US Congress has previously given permission for the export of up to 300 Patriot robots to Sweden.
Each fire unit can charge 36 robots.
Low but high inflation in Japan
Inflation in Japan rose in November to 3.7 percent on an annual basis. This is an increase of 0.1 percent since October.
Inflation in the country, which historically has been low, is now the highest since 1981, i.e. in just over 40 years.
