The US Congress is negotiating this week on a federal spending package, which includes about $50 billion in aid to Ukraine.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi appealed to the American people and political leadership during his visit to Washington to continue military support, ‘s US correspondent Iida Tikka evaluate.
Tikka says that the White House announced during Zelensky’s visit that it will grant Ukraine a new support package worth two billion dollars, which includes, among other things, powerful Patriot anti-missile systems, which have not been delivered to Ukraine before.
More support is known if the US Congress reaches an agreement this week on the federal budget, which includes about $50 billion in support for Ukraine, Tikka says.
