More secure e-identification will now be investigated

– It is natural that the state takes over responsibility for guaranteeing secure identification, says Minister of Civil Affairs Erik Slottner (KD) to TT.

The government appoints an investigator who will propose how e-identification can be issued at the highest level of trust, according to the EU regulation Eidas. Today’s most common approved e-identifications in Sweden have the second highest level.

Within the EU, Greece, Cyprus, Romania and Sweden do not have the highest level.
