Anna Magnusson stood for a super success in the World Cup in Annecy, France.
But on the way home she caught a cold – and is now forced to isolate herself from her partner Peppe Femling.
– It’s not the most fun, says Magnusson.
27-year-olds Anna Magnusson had never even been on the podium in his career. Then she went to France and Annecy. There, Magnusson had a great race, and won the sprint in a stunning manner before another Swedish sensation in the form of Lynn Persson.
Isolates himself
It was a happy and emotional Anna Magnusson who could hardly believe herself that she had won. But after the victory, she has suffered something of a setback. Because during the journey home from France, she caught a cold, and therefore misses the training during the Christmas week.

The disease also means that she is forced to isolate herself from her partner Peppe Femlingalso a biathlete.
– We sleep in separate bedrooms. I felt the first night at home that I wasn’t quite right. He’s not that afraid of me anyway, but I try to keep a little distance so he doesn’t get sick. So it is perhaps not the most fun, says Magnusson to Radiosporten.

“Not serious”
Fortunately, the disease does not seem to be very serious, but for the successful skier it is now a matter of getting back in shape.
– I don’t think it’s anything serious, but there will be a few extra days of rest here. Otherwise, I would have already trained today (Wednesday) or tomorrow (Thursday), says Anna Magnusson.

The Biathlon World Cup takes a break over Christmas and New Year, and resumes on January 5 when the skiers head to Slovenia and Pokljuka.
