(Ticker) – Standard Ethics has raised the Security Rating of the “Snam Euro-Commercial Paper Program for the issuance of Notes and ESG Notes” to “EE+” from the previous “EE”. This is the seventh notch out of nine on the scale used by the London-based independent rating agency focused on sustainability. The first Security Standard Ethics Rating assigned to the energy infrastructure company (listed on Euronext Milan) dates back to 2020. Snam’s Corporate Rating is “EE”
The action takes into account both the choices of the European Union on the role of natural gas in the energy transition process towards renewable sources of both strategic role of the Italian company in relation to the European plans to contain the negative effects caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the consequent sanctions, reads the analysts’ report.
