The wage increase applies to all employees covered by the UMC collective labor agreement, spread over a total of seven university hospitals. They will receive a wage increase of 6 percent on 1 January, followed by another 4 percent increase on 1 November. “This will make up for part of the loss of purchasing power in the short term,” explains FNV director Elise Merlijn.
