In the last episode of Farmer Seeks Wife, the farmer reveals Jon-Krista and Ida tells Linda Lindorff that they are no longer a couple. After Jon-Krista chose Ida in the final election, they went on a lovely holiday together where love seemed to blossom. But then it exploded.
– We are no longer dating, he says in the program.
It happened between Ida and Jon-Krista after Farmer seeks a wife
Jon-Krista and Ida meet Linda together to find out what happened. After the recording, they continued dating, but then “life got in the way”.
– There were many things that happened at the same time.
Jon-Krista tells us that his grandmother passed away and shortly afterwards he broke his foot. When a lot went wrong at the same time, it affected the relationship.
– It was heavy. Instead of getting closer to Ida, I took a step away from her.
Ida tells Linda that she was shocked when Jon-Krista was absent. Right then and there, it was the right decision to make, she believes.
– Maybe it was the right person at the wrong time, says Ida.
Ida’s meeting with Jon-Krista’s family and children
In an interview with TV4, both Ida and Jon-Krista now say that the relationship between them is still good, even if it didn’t quite turn out as they imagined.
– What should you feel, of course it’s boring. But at the same time, maybe this is what was meant. I think it’s unnecessary to go and knead something too. I’m still happy that we’ve been so mature in everything and can have a nice relationship even if it’s not a love relationship. Even if it didn’t turn out to be love, it turned out to be something else good, says Ida.
Before the relationship went from love to friendship, Ida got to meet Jon-Krista’s family and his children.
– She went to everyone’s house. My kids thought she was really adorable, and my parents like her a lot. She is good at meeting other people, they had chemistry right away. When the sister was here during the recording, she said that “that girl is as good as anything”, and that was before I had even chosen her, says Jon-Krista, and Ida describes his family and children as “terribly sweet”.
If there will be something more than friendship in the future, time will tell, says Jon-Krista.
– It’s probably the case that the future will have to show it, I’m in a phase of life where I’ve processed everything boring that happened. Now I’m entering a very busy work period, so I’m not quite ready to start dating. It takes time and energy, then you want to do it for real, says Jon-Krista.
