With The Boys, Amazon has created its big superhero hit of recent years. In addition, a smaller jewel from the genre was released in 2021, which the Moviepilot community has to offer proud average rating of 8.1 brings.
This refers to the animated superhero series Invincible, which The Boys even surpasses in terms of brutality. At least now it was confirms the year Invincible season 2 will be released.

Invincible Season 2 is coming to Amazon Prime in 2023
In an interview with Collider, Amazon Studios Head of Television Vernon Sanders confirms that Invincible Season 2 is coming to the streaming service in the new year. On exact date unfortunately he didn’t reveal it.
The series, based on the comic book by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (original voice: Steven Yeun), who is a Son of the powerful superhero Omni-Man has to come to terms with his own overwhelming powers.

In fact, Invincible is even bloodier and more brutal than The Boys. However, the approach to the exaggerated orgy of violence differs fundamentally between the two series. While The Boys often uses violence with full cynicism only for show value and for the shock effect, the Violence in Invincible always has a narrative value.
