In the past week, the situation surrounding Furuvik’s zoo in Gävle and the escaped chimpanzees that were shot there has received a lot of attention. In Lycksele, where they focus on Nordic animals, they also have experience with animals that escape, most recently two years ago when a wolverine escaped and forced the zoo to review its routines.
