On the Nicoya Peninsula, Samara is a small seaside resort known for its sublime beach with peaceful waters, protected by a coral reef. Right next to it, beach Carillo – a long virgin stretch surrounded by a coconut grove – is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. This area is an important nesting ground for turtles.
