This year we were already able to witness the extremely emotional finale of The Walking Dead on home screens. But one important event from the world of the zombie apocalypse has so far been denied to us in Germany: Tales of the Walking Dead, the recent spin-off series from the horror franchise.
Tales of the Walking Dead launches on Magenta TV in February
Tales of the Walking Dead was already shown in the USA in the summer. Now the series is finally coming to us on TV. In a press release, MagentaTV reveals the start date: Tales of the Walking Dead celebrates on February 19, 2023 its premiere in Germany. The series runs exclusively on the Telekom streaming service.
Tales of the Walking Dead is an anthology series. This means that each episode has a self-contained story told. The press release describes the format as follows:
Each episode has its own tone and angle, the stakes are high in each story, and new, indelible characters are confronted with unforgiving, life-threatening decisions and situations. We see the apocalypse with different eyes and discover more worlds, myths and mysteries of The Walking Dead.

Tales of the Walking Dead – S01 Trailer (English) HD
Tales of the Walking Dead Season 1 includes a total of six episodes. The series was created by The Walking Dead boss Scott M. Gimple and Channing Powell, who has already worked on various other The Walking Dead projects. So the new stories come from two absolute experts.
The cast includes Olivia Munn, Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Anthony Edwards, Poppy Liu, Jillian Bell, Loan Chabanol, Embeth Davidtz, Jessie T. Usher, Daniella Pineda and Danny Ramirez, among others. In addition, we can look forward to the return of Samantha Morton. She has already appeared in The Walking Dead as a spooky villain Alpha caused fear and terror.
