MISS FRANCE 2023. The new Miss France is known: it is Indira Ampiot, representative of Guadeloupe, who was crowned on Saturday December 17 in Châteauroux. But who is she?
[Mis à jour le 18 décembre 2022 à 17h05] “I haven’t realized yet.” She will have to get used to it: Indira Ampiot is the new Miss France 2023. It is easy to understand the dismay, which she expressed bluntly on the 1 p.m. news from TF1, Sunday, December 18, 2022: “We m’ called Miss France earlier, and I was surprised at the time. I am living a waking dream and I am very happy.” Faced with Anne-Claire Coudray, the new Miss France recalled the cause that was close to her heart, namely “helping women with cancer to regain self-confidence”.
The representative of the Guadeloupe was crowned in Châteauroux against Agathe Cauet (Nord-Pas-de-Calais), her first runner-up. She received the crown from the hands of Diane Leyre, not without hiding a certain emotion. It must be said that the young 18-year-old candidate had never hidden her ambitions with regard to the beauty contest: upstream, she was already hoping to win the Miss Universe crown one day, as she was able to mention in an interview with Paris-Match: “The election of Miss France also offers many opportunities. It is an excellent means of communication because it allows us to highlight projects that are close to our hearts. Projects that I would like to see through to the end. Miss Universe pageant if I’m elected.”
Her motivation to become Miss France, Indira Ampiot drew it from her first supporter, her mother, who herself marked the Miss Guadeloupe jury since she was elected First Dauphine in 1998. This sizeable support already promised carry far in this competition which she saw as an opportunity to promote her island. “I have the will to succeed in the plan to represent our beautiful island and I am aware of the responsibilities,” she said on Instagram. How to assure him of a victory?
Miss Guadeloupe is one of the youngest candidates for the Miss France 2023 promotion. Registered for a communication license, Indira Ampiot will start classes in January, unless the Miss France 2023 election has another destiny in store for her. Professional objective of the beauty queen? Become an artistic director in the advertising industry. A dream for those who love to draw and are passionate about design. In her spare time, Indira Amiot also likes to sing. Her pretty features also remind some of those of a famous singer and have already earned her the nickname “Rihanna of Basse-Terre”.
