Embassy staff are being investigated for assault
Employees at Iran’s embassy in Stockholm are suspected of beating two people during a protest, reports TV4 News.
The two people entered the embassy last Friday, with one of them applying for an Iranian ID card.
Once there, they carried out a protest against the regime. After that, they are said to have been beaten and deprived of their mobile phones.
According to TV4, a police report has been made. A total of five employees are suspected of abuse and arbitrary proceedings.

Twitter’s new move – can’t link to competitors
Twitter bans users from linking to competing social media sites, the news agency reports AP.
The ban applies to giants such as Facebook and Instagram, but also other platforms such as Matodon, Tribel, Nostr, Post and Trump’s own platform Truth Social.
Users may also not encourage others to follow them on these social media sites.
But other platforms, such as Tiktok, Parler and Linkedin are doing well – why is unclear.
Anyone who breaks the rules risks having their account temporarily suspended.
Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk has received a lot of criticism since he took over the platform. Among other things, because previously suspended users were allowed to come back and several journalists had their accounts closed.
Woman and two children overturned by car
A car overturned on the E22 in Bromölla on Sunday evening.
A woman and two children were in the car.
– The car has for some unknown reason driven off the road and overturned. There were three people in the car and everyone was outside when we arrived, says Micael Svensson, internal commander at the rescue service, to Kristianstadsbladet.
All three have been taken to hospital for a check-up.
Parts of the road had to be closed after the accident. Just before 21.30 the road was completely open again.

“Musikhjälpen” is over for this year and a total of SEK 54,517,949 was collected.
On Monday, the presenters Klas Eriksson, 37, Tina Mehrafzoon, 32, and Oscar Zia, 26, entered the glass cage and during the course of the week they have had many guests and artists visit. The purpose has been to collect money for children fleeing war.
Last year, SEK 54,306,748 was collected.

A large police operation is underway on Strandvägen in Östermalm in Stockholm.
According to information to Aftonbladet, a man has been robbed of valuables by masked perpetrators in an apartment.
TV series are recut according to new LGBTQ law
Russia has made it illegal to speak openly about different sexualities and gender identities.
Or as the State Duma calls it: “propaganda for non-traditional sexual orientations”.
As a consequence of the law, Russian streaming services are now cutting all references to homosexuality in popular TV series, such as “White Lotus”, reports SR Ecot.
In bookstores, literature with similar content is removed.
Anyone who violates the new law risks heavy fines.

A man has been shot in the Norrliden district in Kalmar.
The police received the call about gunfire at 7:15 p.m.
– We are on site and have blocked it off. We have special search dogs to try to find traces of the perpetrator or persons, says police spokesperson Jimmy Modin.
They also check if there is camera surveillance from the location.
The man is taken to hospital by ambulance. The police cannot comment on the extent of the damage nor on the man’s age.
The shooting happened right next to a center with a pizzeria and grocery store. The police cannot answer how many witnesses there are.
– This is something we are working on. We are talking to those who may have seen or heard something.
The case is classified as attempted murder.
Record snow in Moscow
Historic snowfall has led to traffic chaos and canceled flights in Moscow.
In parts of the Russian capital, the snow piles are around 30 centimeters high, according to the weather institute Fobos.
The last time Moscow suffered similar snowfall in December was in 1989 and 1993.
– It’s a snow Armageddon. In Moscow, it is so stormy that you can neither walk nor drive, reports the state-controlled TV channel Channel 1 according to AFP.
Military called in to replace strikers
1,200 troops called in to fill gaps as UK ambulance drivers and border staff go on strike, reports BBC.
The union is critical and says that the military does not have the right training to take on the duties of paramedics.
But Health Minister Steve Barclay replies that maintaining patient safety is priority one.
Many strikes are going on in the UK now. The most noticed group has been the nurses, who demand salary increases of at least 17 percent.
In a high-profile interview in BBC Today, Emergency Services Minister Oliver Dowden called on unions to be “fair and reasonable” by calling off the strikes and giving people “a break this Christmas”.
Putin visits Belarus – “wondering why”
Vladimir Putin travels to Belarus on Monday to meet with President Aleksandr Lukashenko.
According to Bloomberg is Putin’s first visit to the country in over three years.
All meetings between the leaders since 2019 have been held in Russia.
“The pattern is broken. I wonder why,” writes the BBC’s Russia editor Steve Rosenberg Twitter.
According to Lukashenko’s website, the leaders will talk about, among other things, security and the economy.
Belarus has always supported Russia in the war against Ukraine, but has not sent any soldiers of its own.
Actor Anders Nyström dead

The actor Anders Nyström is dead, TT reports.
Anders Nystörm had his big breakthrough as a child, when he was in “The Children from Frostmofjället” in 1945.
He was in several films as a child, but later made the leap to the theater stage. Among other things, he worked at the Riksteatern, Uppsala City Theater and Stockholm City Theatre.
After that he came back to film, and television. Among other things, he appeared in “The Archipelago Doctor” and “Svenska hjärtan”.
Anders Nyström was 89 years old.
Woman has fallen from apartment
A woman in her 20s has been found on the ground outside an apartment in southern Stockholm.
The woman has been transported by ambulance to hospital, the police report.
– She must have fallen several floors. In my eyes, the woman’s condition looks surprisingly good. She was awake and talking when she was taken to hospital, says Mats Eriksson, the police’s press officer.
A man in his 20s who was in the residence has been arrested. Another person who was in the apartment has been taken in for questioning.
– All three people lived in the apartment.
According to information to Aftonbladet, the woman may have been pushed out of a window from the fourth floor.
Police are on site at the hospital to speak with the woman when possible.
A preliminary investigation has been opened into attempted murder. A technical survey of the residence will be carried out.

Is it really a case if the police suspect attempted murder? Why suspect the woman instead of putting the weight and weight on what the police suspect: that a man pushed her to her death.

Whether it is so or not is not something we can confirm, the police investigation will have to show that.
