Myriam Mihindou, the sculpted body

Myriam Mihindou the sculpted body

Myriam Mihindou calls herself a sculptor at heart. And the body of this visual artist is no stranger to it. A body working to give birth to itself and its history.

Born in Libreville to a Gabonese father and a French mother, Myriam Mihindou passed by the School of Fine Arts of Bordeaux in France sails, from one dyke to another, between contemporary art and animist tradition, between Landes nature and Gabonese soil. Presented as a nomadic artist, a bit of a shaman and living in the Whole World, En Sol Majeur is ready to enter her world, feminine, invisible, ritualized, abused, cared for, torn between ice, needles, white, black , the colonized, decolonized, the photo, the video, the archive. Performances exhibited all over the world with roots in Reunion, Egypt, Morocco, France and Africa 2020… but always with questions sculpted in a carnal and fundamental way…
