After the maintenance of Sweden’s largest nuclear power reactor, Oskarshamn 3, it will now be restarted, writes TT.

The launch will already take place at 4 pm this afternoon, earlier than originally said. The idea was that it would only start tomorrow.

After the reactor starts up, it takes 80 hours before it is in full effect. Oskarshamn 3 has been out of service since 9 December.

  • Fire at an oil refinery in Denmark

    The fire service in Denmark has been alerted to a fire at the Crossbridge Energy oil refinery in Fredericia, reports VG. Photos from the scene show a lot of smoke.

  • Continued search for missing in landslide

    Two people have ended up in the water in connection with a work vehicle overturning at the Skuru Bridge, the police report.

    – It seems to be about a crane truck that somehow slipped into the water, but there is no certain information, says Helena Boström Thomas, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.

    The people must have got ashore on their own.

    – At least one of them needs to be taken to hospital with unclear injuries.

    The police are on the scene to investigate the incident.

    – In cases like this, we usually look at whether it could be a work environment violation, says Helena Boström Thomas.

  • At least 37 dead from alcohol poisoning

    Several people have died in the Indian state of Bihar after drinking the local liquor known as “Mahua” or “Desi Daru” on Monday.

    At least 37 people have died.

    Several of the victims are said to have been at a wedding and then started vomiting and complaining of both stomach pains and loss of vision, writes TT.

  • One-year-old boy dead after massive robot attacks in Ukraine

    On Friday, Russia carried out one of the most extensive attacks so far in the war.

    A total of 76 robots are said to have been fired at Ukraine, causing, among other things, riots and damage to the country’s energy system.

    Rescue teams worked to find survivors after a residential building in the city of Kryvyi Rih was reportedly hit during the attack. A dead one-year-old boy was found among the victims, AP writes.

    Eight people were killed in the attack, four of them children, governor Valentyn Reznichenko reports on his Telegram. A further 13 were injured. The victims were a 64-year-old woman and a young family with a small boy, he writes further.

  • Santino one of the chimpanzees shot dead

    The chimpanzee Santino, one of the chimpanzees that was shot dead at Furuviksparken.

    “It is with great sadness that we can now also confirm that the chimpanzee that has been confirmed deceased in the chimpanzee house, but which we have not been able to identify, is Santino,” writes Furuviksparken in a press release.

    The park also writes that it has failed with its security work and established routines.

    Yesterday the zoo confirmed that Torsten and Linda were dead. It was then assumed that Santino and Manda were lying on the ground and that one of them was dead, but that the injury status of the other was unclear.

  • The cold cancels skiing competitions in Östersund

  • Several dead in shooting near bank
