As the war between Russia and Ukraine approaches its first year, the attacks of the Russian forces continue. As a result of the Russian army’s attack on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and some cities during the day, the energy infrastructure was badly damaged. Due to the attacks, parts of Ukraine and Moldova were plunged into darkness.
UKRAINE
Ukrainian Air Force Spokesperson Yuriy Ignat announced that Russian forces carried out attacks with more than 60 missiles in various regions of Ukraine in the morning.
Kyiv City Military Administration Representative Mikhail Shamanov stated that 37 of the 40 missiles launched by the Russian army in and around the capital Kyiv were destroyed in the air.
According to reports in the Ukrainian media, civilians lost their lives and were injured as a result of attacks on the cities of Kharkiv, Kherson, Kriviy Rih and surrounding settlements outside of Kyiv.
As a result of the attacks, drinking water and electricity cuts occurred in various regions of the country, including the capital Kyiv.
MOLDOVA
As a result of Russia’s missile attacks against Ukraine, power outages also occurred in Laloveni, Moldova, due to damage to the energy infrastructure.
On the other hand, in the last days of November, many parts of Moldova were plunged into darkness as a result of the attacks of the Russian forces. (AA)
