One person has died and seven have been injured after a tornado swept through New Orleans in the United States.
Power lines are said to have blown down and roads have been blocked, according to the local paper Nola.
A tornado warning has been issued for all of southeast Louisiana.

Wall Street fell after the interest rate announcement
The New York stock market rose on Wednesday ahead of the Fed’s interest rate announcement.
But once the announcement came, the three major indexes plummeted and ended up in the red, even though the 50-point increase was expected.
The stock market recovered somewhat, but finished in the red.
The Dow Jones retreated 0.4 percent, the S&P fell 0.6 percent, and the technology-heavy Nasdaq fell 0.8 percent.
Over 11,000 without power
Several power outages have affected Sotenäs in Västra Götaland during the evening.
At 10 p.m., 11,207 of Ellevio’s customers were without power.
There is currently no forecast for when the power may be restored.
The affected electricity grid is owned by Vattenfall.
– It is a disruption to the regional network that will affect Ellevio’s customers in the next step. We have personnel on the way to the site to investigate and repair the fault as soon as possible, says Magnus Kryssare, Vattenfall’s press service, to Bohusläningen.
Faith campaign on buses is closed
An advertising campaign for panties on SL’s buses in Stockholm has been rejected by the Advertising Ombudsman’s opinion committee (RO), writes TT.
On the back of the buses there have been pictures of a woman with high-cut panties and the text “Nothing but perfect”.
The campaign has been reported both by private individuals and Sweden’s Women’s Organizations.
According to RO’s assessment, the woman is portrayed as a sex object, and the advertisement is gender discriminatory.
Attack on government building in Kherson
Several Russian robots hit the regional headquarters in the Ukrainian city of Kherson on Wednesday.
Two floors are said to have been damaged in the building, which is centrally located in the city. But no one was hit in the attack.
Ukrainian forces retook the city from Russia in early November.
Since then it has been shelled from the Russian side.

As expected, the US central bank Fed raises the key interest rate by 50 basis points.
This raises the interest rate to 4.25-4.5 percent.
It is a more cautious increase than earlier in November, when the Fed tripled interest rates to the highest level in 15 years.
Details: SD wants to be involved in deciding the national police chief
The Sweden Democrats want to be involved in deciding who will be the next national police chief in Sweden, write the newspaper Expressen with reference to sources.
The government and the Sweden Democrats are currently in talks about the management of the country’s authorities and the regulatory letters to be drawn up for next year.
One authority that the Sweden Democrats want to be involved in and influence the governance of is the police.
– The police is an authority that quite obviously falls under the Tidö agreement, and thus we have exactly the same right to influence as the government parties, says a source in the party to Expressen.
Government sources that the newspaper has spoken to state that they partly make a different interpretation than the SD and describe it as far from a given that the SD could influence the design of the party leadership.

Peru is facing a state of emergency across the country due to the violent protests that have flared up since the country’s president was ousted last week.
The exemption permit must be valid for 30 days. According to Defense Minister Alberto Otarola, the cause is “vandalism, violence and roadblocks”, writes TT.
Ex-president Pedro Castillo was arrested and deposed last week after trying to dissolve parliament.
Protesters are demanding his release and the removal of his successor.
Iran is kicked out of the UN commission
Iran is excluded from the UN Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW), writes TT.
This after 29 of the member countries of the UN’s Economic and Social Council (Ecosoc) voted for the proposal, which was put forward by the United States.
The decision is justified by Iran’s very heavy-handed response to the women-led protests in the country.
The Foreign Ministry eases the advice for Myanmar
The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD) changes its advice for Myanmar due to the changed security situation, writes TT.
Swedes in Myanmar have until now been urged to leave the country, but that invitation was removed today.
However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs still advises against all travel to Myanmar and that advice applies until further notice.
Big problems at Telenor
Telenor suffered major problems early on Wednesday evening.
Many reported to Aftonbladet that they could neither call, send text messages nor use the internet.
Since 5 p.m., many customers have also reported problems to the site Down detector.

They have no information about the telephony and broadband not working.

Hey! According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the system change has worked well and it should not affect train traffic.
On the other hand, trains can be canceled for other reasons, but it does not seem at the moment that the IT change affects that.
