Automotive Industry Association, announced the production and export numbers and market data for the “January-November” period. When we look at the new figures shared, we see that the total automotive production in the first 11 months of the year increased by 6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 1 million 210 thousand 331 units. Automobile production, on the other hand, increased by 2 percent within its own framework and amounted to 717 thousand 368 units. With the inclusion of tractor production, the total production reaches 1 million 255 thousand 270 units.

11-month figures for automotive exports
The production shared by commercial vehicles for the January-November period in the table, on the other hand, stands out significantly with an increase of 13 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In this period, production in the heavy commercial vehicle group increased by 25 percent, while the production in the light commercial vehicle group increased by 11 percent. In the January-November period, automotive exports increased by 5 percent on unit basis compared to the same period of the previous year, and amounted to 876 thousand 187 units. In this period, automobile exports increased by 0.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while commercial vehicle exports increased by 12 percent. Tractor exports, on the other hand, increased by 11 percent compared to 2021 and amounted to 17 thousand 13 units. According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the total automotive industry exports ranked second in the sectoral export ranking with a 12 percent share in the January-November period of 2022.
