It was last Thursday that an employee at a Best Western hotel in California found two bloody men in a car in the hotel parking lot. The two men, who were Swedish tourists, had gotten into an argument with an American man who jumped into the Swedes’ sports car and abused them, reports CBS News.
Kept locked up for almost an hour
The police in Petaluma, California, suspect that the Swedes were kept locked in the car for almost an hour while they were beaten and robbed. One Swede had had his nose broken and the other had been knocked unconscious.
Had delusions
The 27-year-old perpetrator had accused the Swedes of having come from his hotel room where he stated that a woman was. Police in Petaluma say the 27-year-old appeared under the influence of drugs and that he had been delusional, writes NBC.
According to the police, the Swedish men were not familiar with the perpetrator.
The 27-year-old is suspected of robbery, illegal detention and assault.
