Huaweiunveiled several new smartwatches at its event in China earlier today, and we have all the details of four new wearables.
Huawei Watch Budsis a 2-in-1 device that works like your regular smartwatch but with a screen that pops up to reveal a pair of TWS earbuds. The watch comes with a 1.43 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The case is made of stainless steel, while the leather watch strap comes in 22mm and is available in black and brown.
The smartwatch supports heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, sleep and stress management, as well as heart rate atrial fibrillation scanning and EKG readings. Also, 80 exercise modes are built into the watch. The earphones offer AI noise cancellation for calls and listening to music. The Watch Buds are 66.5 grams without the strap, and the earbuds are 4 grams each. The buds are rated IP54, but the watch lacks official ingress protection due to the opening mechanism. BeiDou, GLONASS and GPS positioning are also built in.
Watch BudsWorks with HarmonyOS 3 and pairs over Bluetooth 5.2 connection. Huawei claims that the watch and its buds have a total battery life of 3 days. The wireless headphones get 4 hours of music playback or 2.5 hours of talk time with noise canceling turned off. A full charge with its proprietary magnetic charger promises 100 minutes of use.
The Huawei Watch Buds cost CNY 2,988 (about $429) and are already on open sale in China. There is no information about global availability for now. I hope we will have the opportunity to see this different design in different markets.
Huawei Kids Watch 5X and 5X ProThese are Huawei’s latest kids’ watches and they offer 1.6-inch AMOLED displays with a resolution of 360 x 320 pixels and dual cameras in a sturdy plastic shell. There is a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear module, and both watches can be rotated 360 degrees and even completely removed from the watch strap. The Pro model has the added benefit of a secondary monochrome display that can be used to save power and is also less distracting than the original model.
It has cellular connectivity with a physical nano-SIM slot, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 4.2. Both watches include 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Kids Watch 5X comes in dimensions of 56.3mm × 43.58mm × 14.45mm, while the Pro model is slightly thicker at 14.9mm and weighs 78.7 grams. Both Kids Watch 5X models are rated IPX8.
Huawei Watch Kids 5X ProThe Kids 5X model will be priced at CNY 1,598 (approximately $230) and is available in pink and blue.
Huawei Watch GT 3 ProCollector’s Edition, the fourth smartwatch announced today. As the name suggests, the standard Huawei Watch GT 3 ProIt is a limited edition of the ., featuring a black nanocrystalline ceramic case with gold accents. The watch is available in a single 43mm size and brings the special new year of Rabbit watch faces.
The Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro costs CNY 4,988 (about $717) in China.
