Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Twelve journalists have been killed in Ukraine, which is more than in any other country this year, according to IFJ. Many of them were killed in the first chaotic weeks of the war.

2022 has also been one of the deadliest years on record for journalists in Mexico, which is now considered the most dangerous country for reporters outside of a war zone, according to the organization.

The breakdown of law and order in Haiti has also contributed to the increased number of journalists killed this year.

Last year, 47 deaths were reported, according to the compilation from IFJ.

The number of imprisoned journalists is also increasing. 375 journalists are behind bars because of their work, most of them in China including Hong Kong, Myanmar and Turkey, according to the IFJ. That is ten more compared to last year’s report.
