Through classics like Videodrome or The Fly, David Cronenberg has established himself as a Horror master director made a name. Meanwhile, his son Brandon Cronenberg is slowly following in his father’s footsteps. Most recently, he impressed with the intelligent and excessive sci-fi horror trip Possessor.
Now the new Brandon Cronenberg film Infinity Pool is already in the starting blocks. Ahead of the world premiere in January 2023 at the Sundance Film Festival, you can already check out the first trailer watch the sci-fi flick starring Alexander Skarsgård and Mia Goth.

David Cronenberg’s son is already synonymous with disturbing sci-fi horror art
The film’s plot revolves around a rich couple, Em and James, who vacation at a luxury all-inclusive resort. Through the seductive and mysterious leader Gabi, they discover one outside the hotel walls Subculture full of violence, hedonism and unspeakable horror. A tragic accident finally confronts them with a zero-tolerance policy on crime.
The first trailer for Infinity Pool proves that Brandon Cronenberg has found his own niche in sci-fi horror since Possessor at the latest. The previous film was one of the most intense genre experiences of 2021 and was about assassins who use advanced technology slip into the bodies of relatives of their targets and take over their identity.
Infinity Pool promises to be an experience as bizarre and unsettling as Possessor, if not more nightmarish. After the world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival comes the film probably 2023 to the movies. A German start date has not yet been set.
