This week, Russian President Vladimir Putin compared himself to Tsar Peter the Great, and if given his own choice, Putin is likely to remain in power for life.
But who are the men around Putin, and is there anyone who could take over the presidency in reality?
According to Russia expert Malcolm Dixelius, there are three men who stand out. Nikolai Patrushev, Dmitry Medvedev and Alexei Dyumin.
– Djumin is a person who, he claims himself anyway, Putin owes his life for saving him from a bear once when they were in the same hunting lodge.
