LoL is coming to Xbox Game Pass and will save you hundreds of hours of grind – starting next week

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

As early as June 2022, Riot Games announced as part of the Xbox Showcase that League of Legends and four other players would be included in the Xbox Game Pass. Now the whole thing has a release date that is later this year.

When is LoL coming to Game Pass? The Xbox Game Pass release of LoL is on December 12, 2022, so it will take place later this year.

When the Game Pass release of LoL and four other games from Riot Games was announced at the Xbox Showcase, no corresponding date was known.

Game Pass saves you a lot of gaming time

What is the benefit? Newcomers have a blatant advantage with the Xbox Game Pass release, for which players previously had to play for months or even years. So each game gets different bonuses.

In League of Legends, all champions are unlocked right at launch for Xbox Game Pass players. You can also use new champions like K’Sante, who combines tank and damage role, directly for release.

This saves you hundreds of hours of grind or a lot of money, since you need over 600,000 blue essence or over 130,000 riot points (about 700 euros) for all champions. However, the exact price is difficult to determine because there are always discounts, bundles and price adjustments for older champions.

Not only LoL players benefit from the Game Pass

What advantages are there in the other games? Not only League of Legends players will benefit from an Xbox Game Pass subscription in the future. Fans of Valorant, Legends of Runterra, LoL: Wild Rift and Teamfight Tactics can also look forward to some advantages.

  • In Valorant you get all agents unlocked. This includes new characters that will be released in the future.
  • In Teamfight Tactics you get access to a rotation of “Little Legends”, the in-game avatars
  • The games will also celebrate their release on Microsoft’s subscription service on December 12, 2022.

Is there a downside in the games? Not really. As a newcomer, you save a lot of money or hundreds of hours of playing time in the various titles. Even players with over a hundred hours can benefit from the subscription and save a few hours of grind.

The only downer is that you only get the benefits as long as you have the Game Pass subscription.
