Armand Duplantis is one of the candidates for the Jerring Prize.
Now the pole vault star pays tribute to the other nominees in the most beautiful way.

The Swedish pole vault star has dominated all year and won WC gold both indoors and outdoors, EC gold outdoors and was named the world’s best male athlete. But despite the great success season, he is not at all convinced that he will take home the Jerring prize.
– I kind of did everything I wanted to do, he says in an interview with Radiosporten.
– But it’s not just me who did a great thing.

“Was amazing”
When “Mondo” was then asked who he himself had voted for, he showed proof of his big heart and how good he is as an athlete. Then the 23-year-old chooses to highlight three names and pay tribute to them in the most beautiful way.

Duplantis finds it extremely difficult to choose between the Paralympians Ebba Årsjö and the swimming queen Sarah Sjostromtwo athletes he is extremely impressed with.
– Maybe Ebba because it’s a very motivating story, says Mondo to the radio channel.
