Redmi K60 will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Approaching Xiaomi Redmi K60 There have been a few leaks about the series before, but now they’re all starting to fall into place. A report suggests that the new series will likely be introduced in early January, before Chinese New Year (January 22).

Xiaomi Redmi K60, new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 It will have chipset. It is also expected to feature a QHD+ 120Hz display and 67W fast wired charging, and will feature 30W wireless charging for the first time in a K-series phone. We can expect to see an 8MP ultra-wide module and a 2MP macro camera with a 64MP main camera on the back. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera.

We also expect the Redmi K60 Pro to be introduced at the same time. That person will have to make do with the older but still efficient Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. We’re not sure why the Pro will have a slower chipset, reports are likely to be upside-down, so wait until you see the first round of benchmarks. Anyway, the Pro is expected to have a QHD+ 120Hz display.

The bottom segment will be the Redmi K60E – this model will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 or the upcoming Dimensity 8200. Early benchmark results have surfaced and confirmed the Snapdragon 870 version. From what we’ve heard so far, the K60E will feature a 48MP main camera (with OIS). This will come with Android 12 and MIUI 13, which is also an older software. The other two will run Android 13 and MIUI 14.

Meanwhile, according to the model names, it looks like the Poco F5 will be based on the Redmi K60 Pro – both called “Mondrian”. The K60 will adopt the names “Socrates” and the K60E “Rembrandt”.
