The first long trailer for The Last of Us series adaptation of the acclaimed video game template is finally here and should have really pleased many horror fans. But only those who actually played the games will have recognized three touching details.
The Last of Us trailer brings back cast of video game and very special song
First of all, there are two returnees from the video game template. As previously reported, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker are also part of the series cast. The former speaks in the game Ellie (cast in the series: Bella Ramsey) and the latter Joel (Pedro Pascal). Johnson may play Ellie’s mother, while Baker is a member of an armed militia. What significance the roles of the two have for the series is not known.
The third detail, on the other hand, is not visible, only audible. It is the song Take Me On by the band A-Ha, used in the trailer. The song is part of an extremely emotional scene from The Last of Us Part II video game where Ellie plays it on guitar. The instrument symbolizes the relationship between her and her protector Joel.
