Paasikivi on Ukraine: Russia continues the bombing campaign

In Ukraine, flight alerts have sounded over large parts of the country on Monday after a wave of Russian robot attacks. It is supposed to be about over 100 robots – several people are said to have died and residents have been urged to seek shelter. According to Lieutenant Colonel Joakim Paasikivi, it is currently difficult to say exactly which regions were most exposed to the attacks – but that they were expected.

– The timing is always unclear, but I think everyone is on board with the fact that Russia will continue this strategic bombing campaign, he says.

At the same time, there have also been reports of explosions on Russian battlefields. Even in that case, the information is scarce at the moment, says Joakim Paasikivi

– We know much less than we would like. It could be the Ukrainians, but we don’t know. If it is, Russia will have a lot of things to work on. Own air defense? How should one react to the continued attacks in Ukraine?, he says.
