It was after a concert in Adelaide in Australia earlier this week that the newspaper Adelaide Advertiser reported that a woman who had been to a Guns N’ Roses concert was hit in the face by the microphone that Axl Rose threw into the audience. The woman suffered bruises and injuries to her nose.
When this came to Rose’s attention, he took to Twitter and announced that he will no longer throw the microphone into the audience, which he claims he has done at the end of shows for 30 years, reports Billboard.
The singer writes that if the information about the woman’s injuries is true, it goes without saying that he would never want to hurt anyone during a gig.
“For the safety of the audience, we will from now on refrain from throwing the microphone or anything else to the fans during our shows,” writes Axl Rose on Twitter.
