The big nations Germany and Belgium have had to leave the soccer World Cup.
Now both national teams are mocked after their fiascos – by the airline Ryanair.
“I’m Belgian and damn I love you,” writes one on Twitter.
It was a double fiasco on Thursday when both Germany and Belgium were sent out of the 2022 World Cup. Two great nations that had expected to go much further than the group stage but now have to leave early.
Belgium eliminated
Belgium only managed to score a single goal in three matches, despite a lot of superstars in the national team. The shock loss against Morocco and only 0-0 against Croatia in the final group stage match sends the team from Qatar home even before the fun starts in the playoffs.

While Germany were under pressure to win the last game against weak Costa Rica after losing to the scrappy Japan in the first game. Even though it was really shaky, the Germans still did the job and won the last match 4-2.

It would also have been enough for advancement if Spain had only managed one cross against Japan. But the Spaniards buckled down completely and the Japanese big for a heroic turnaround and won 2-1.
