Mike Flanagan has brought several hits to Netflix over the past few years. Starting with Haunted Hill House and The Game to Midnight Mass: Flanagan creates in both the film and series areas excellent horror stories. However, his latest project failed to make it onto Netflix.
As Variety reports, Midnight Goosebumps will not receive a second season. The series is based on the novel The Midnight Club by Christopher Pike and is about a group of young people who are in a hospital and tell each other scary stories. Before they know it, the spook comes to life.
Horror defeat: Netflix drops goosebumps at midnight
The first season of Midnight Goosebumps started on October 7, 2022 and consists of a total of ten episodes. Almost two months later, Netflix pulled the plug and said goodbye to the series. Goosebumps at midnight is with it Flanagan’s penultimate Netflix project. Because the filmmaker has a new home.

It has recently been announced that Flanagan has canceled his overall deal with Netflix. From now on he develops fabrics for Amazon. Nevertheless, we have one last Netflix series left: The Fall of the House of Usher has already been filmed and is scheduled to start in 2023.
Unfortunately goosebumps ended at midnight with numerous unanswered questions. Right from the start, however, Mike Flanagan promised that if he were dismissed, he would answer them in a different way.
