Utrecht – In the majority of cases, online stores do not meet the legal requirements for alcohol sales, concludes the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) after an inspection of 166 providers. At 106 points of sale, the age-checking system contained shortcomings. In sixteen cases, no age verification was done at all.
