The French have until Friday evening to return their firearms held without authorization. At least 5 million weapons would be in circulation in the country outside any legal framework. To recover them, the Ministry of the Interior opened armory stations for a week, mainly in police stations, to recover pistols and other hunting rifles. The operation was a great success.
