Jon Watts, who directed the first three Spider-Man films with Holland, was originally slated to pitch the Fantastic Four reboot next. However, he has since left the project. He also appears for Spider-Man 4 not available to stand. He suffers from “Superhero Burnout”as Smith writes.

Sony would still like to have Watts back as a director. A replacement director has not yet been hired. Also up Sony’s Wishlist stands Zendaya, whose MJ was an important part of the first trilogy. Additionally, there are rumors that Spider-Man 4 will feature another cameo from Charlie Cox as Daredevil.

When will Spider-Man 4 be in cinemas?
