Today’s WC matches, 1/12 – Tips & times

Before the groups are decided, both matches in a group are played during the same times. This is in order not to get the chance for the national teams to gamble on the results in the second match. It creates more even conditions and more drama. You can check out our odds bonuses to find an offer to play with during the day.

Belgium – Croatia

  • Time: 16:00
  • Betting tip: Croatia will win the match (2.72 at Betsson)
  • TV: SVT1
  • Streaming: SVTPlay
  • Super important match for both teams. One of the teams will most likely leave the tournament – and this match is absolutely decisive. In the event of a draw, Croatia will advance. It puts a lot of pressure on Belgium, who have to move forward.

Both teams have a world-class midfield. Luka Modric on one side. Kevin De Bruyne on second. The latter has not found his form at all during the World Cup. It will really be required if they are to be able to row a more well-rounded Croatia.

We believe that Belgium will go on the offensive – but have to pay for it. Croatia have a nice transition game that can only wait for Belgian mistakes. We’re betting on Croatia winning the match – and with that knocking favorites Belgium out of the tournament.

    Canada – Morocco

  • Time: 16:00
  • Betting tip: Morocco wins the match (2.18 at Expekt)
  • TV: SVT1
  • Streaming: SVTPlay
  • A dejected Canada will take the field on 12/1 with nothing in particular to play for beyond glory. For Morocco, the match is much more important. A win could mean a group victory – but a draw will be enough for advancement.

We have been impressed by Morocco’s World Cup squad & national team which stole points from both Belgium and Croatia. An uninspired Canada should not be a problem for Morocco. We are very surprised at how high odds are given for a win for Morocco inside Expekt Sweden. We’re running for a second!

    Spain – Japan

Spain have flagged that they will rest several key players ahead of the game against Japan. It will take a lot if Spain is to let two teams past them in the table of Group E. However, it is clear that Spain will go for a group victory. Therefore, at least one point is required against Japan – which they will manage.

Should they rest players – Spain has several hungry players who want to show their front legs. A capable Spain will have a lot of possession against Japan, who are struggling with their defensive game. Here we believe that there will be several goals advantage for Spain when the referee blows the match.

    Germany – Costa Rica

Germany saved themselves in the tournament by cruising against Spain. Now they face a much simpler opposition in the form of Costa Rica. If it is not to be a big fiasco, a German win is required. Which we believe will occur.

Should Spain draw against Japan – it will be a goal difference battle. Therefore, we believe that it will be a forward-leaning Germany during the 90 minutes. Regardless of the result on the board.
