Volunteers from Breukelen are also fans of the tree
They are not from IJsselstein at all, but today they are standing with wellies in the meadow around the radio mast. Wenke and Joyce from Breukelen are two of the several volunteers who help hoist the lamps.
“We don’t have such a tree in Breukelen, so come here,” laughs Wenke. “Every time you drive past that mast in December, you know: I’m almost home. Then you have to do something to honor that Christmas tree. Wonderful!”
