The VVD says it has already heard stories that boas were less keen to work in Utrecht due to the difference in salary. During a meeting between the municipality and enforcers, the boas confirmed that this is the case, says the VVD. In Utrecht they would start on a scale lower than in many other (surrounding) municipalities. Tess Meerding of the VVD: “Boas said that they want to work here because, for example, they were born here or really have something for the city. But they also said: it is quite possible that I will leave here because I can earn better elsewhere. ”
