Emma Ribom was successful during the World Cup premiere in Ruka when she took the first World Cup victory of her career in Friday’s sprint.
She secured the first podium in her career during the Tour de ski.

There was Swedish success during the World Cup premiere in Finnish Ruka during the previous weekend, where there were several Swedish podium places. One of these was taken during Friday’s sprint when Emma Ribom – somewhat surprisingly – won before Johanna Hagström.
Nobbar Tour de ski
The victory was Ribom’s first in her career, even though she had previously been on the podium. The first podium place was taken by the 24-year-old from Kalix in the Tour de ski, but equal Jonna Sundling she will refrain from participating in the competition during this winter.
