In addition to Gaziantep, 28 trainees from cities such as Antalya, Burdur and Isparta attend the cyber security training organized by the İpekyolu Development Agency (İKA).
A certificate of participation will be given to the trainees who complete their training at the end of the program.
IKA Secretary General Burhan Akyılmaz said that as an agency, they carry out important studies on the development of human resources in the region.
In this context, Akyılmaz stated that cyber security training was also organized in their regions and continued as follows:
“Especially, we, as İpekyolu Development Agency, participated in the ‘Cyber Vatan Programme’, which was initiated in cooperation with the Presidency’s Digital Transformation Office, the Industry Defense Presidency, and the Ministry of Industry and Technology. In this context, we will provide a one-week training to cybersecurity professionals who will ensure the security of our virtual and digital systems. The primary aim of this training is to learn digital professions, especially at a time when young people are interested in new generation professions. We aim to employ our friends with these qualifications, skills and abilities. This field is a new field. We received a lot of interest in the training. About 350 applications were received. As a result of the exam. about 28 people were entitled to participate in the training.
Akyılmaz said that trainees who successfully complete the 40-hour training will be awarded a certificate, and that the trainees can work as cyber security guards in both the defense industry and institutions with digital infrastructure systems.
TRAINING WILL BE ORGANIZED IN ADIYAMAN AND KİLİS
Explaining that the trainees were trained by BTK trainers on various topics such as web security, web attacks, web fundamentals, websites, passive and active information collection, device and data security, dynamic code analysis, user names and passwords, Akyılmaz said:
“We are planning to increase the knowledge, skills and qualifications of the trainees on cyber security with the trainings. We will organize these trainings in Adıyaman and Kilis in the coming period. Nearly 10 trainees came to the training outside of Gaziantep. Especially in Antalya, Isparta, and Burdur. “We are very pleased with the participation of young people in provinces that are far from Gaziantep. We want to increase education in the next periods, so that all our youth can learn about cyber security and create an infrastructure where they can acquire a profession.”
“I DEVELOPED MYSELF THROUGH EDUCATION AND GAINED EARNINGS”
Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Management Information Systems student Büşra Ring, who participated in the training, stated that the training was extremely productive and said, “I couldn’t be on the field, but I want to be in the virtual. It is a very good training. I recommend it to everyone. I have improved myself and gained gains through training.” said.
Mehmet Nabi Arısaman, a graduate of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University’s Department of Information Security, explained that he attended the training from Antalya and said, “I had taken this training on the online platform before. I thought that the training would be more effective face-to-face. I plan to start from the basics and take the training forward. “I think it can move forward because there is a cybersecurity shortage. We will be policing the cyberspace.” he said. (AA)
