All banks must start following the Supreme Court’s decision and compensate victims of fraud, urges KO Cecilia Tisell in a letter to the banks’ top management and boards.
This summer, a High Court verdict came that those who have been tricked into handing over bank details to a fraudster have increased opportunities to get money back through compensation from the bank. KO then asked the banks to help those affected who had previously been refused to get the money back.
The banks did not respond, and therefore KO has now written a new letter to the banks, she tells DN Debatt.
