The price of snus can be raised significantly, according to a proposal from the European Commission that Aftonbladet has seen. The document proposes a new excise tax on tobacco that could raise the price of a box of loose snus to SEK 120, an increase of just over SEK 60. The price of a can of portioned snus can increase by SEK 34. The proposal is to be made public at the beginning of December to then be discussed and decided by the EU member states, reports Aftonbladet. See more in the feature above
